Lauras costume
This character is supposed to be seen by the audience as an alcoholic party girl with mental health problems, and her costume is supposed to show them this. Our first choice, the picture seen here on the right, is too extreme and would show her decline too quickly. The final choice, seen here on the right, shows her with little makeup, a short skirt and a mismatched hoodie. This is supposed to show her confusion whilst showing that she is childlike and that she no longer cares about her appearance.
Nathans costume
Nathans costume is supposed to represent his smart and well held together personality. His trouser, suit and tie set shows that he is the complete opposite to Lauras character. This costume is also appropriate for a formal event, such as the aniversary of his girlfriends death.
